Yesterday I heard from an inside source that NTT may be soon offering 100Mbps LAN for your connectivity while on the road. Now that’ll really be something. Emobile (Japan) pales in comparison with a paltry 7.2Mbps. Wimax is better at 40Mbps. But 100Mbps wirelessly? That will be sweet! Now for the cost. Hmmm…. Well, first things first, the rumor has to become fact first. But what information I was able to gleen from the NTT employeed I spoke with, it’s coming! 
BTW, Wimax in Japan is not a bad deal either at 40Mbps. I hear rumored from their side of the fence that later this year, they will up the speed to 80Mbps. Nice thing about Wimax is, no two-year contracts as with Emobile. You pay by the month, and can quit any time.
